This hand built and carved trinket dish starts as a simple slab of seaside stoneware clay, shaped by hand and then carved with intentional marks that highlight the touch of the maker. Fired to cone 10 reduction, it has the grounded, tactile feel of stoneware pottery.
Use it as a trinket dish for jewelry, spare change, crystals, keys, or small altar objects. The carved details catch light and shadow, making it as beautiful empty as it is filled.
Each dish is slightly different: carving depth, sgraffito pattern, and glaze breaks will vary from piece to piece, making yours truly one of a kind.
